7/6 PRINT: Buff Monster at Metropark

LA Grafittist Buff Monster has, by virtue of talents both artistic and entrepreneurial, turned a love for pornography, ice cream, and heavy metal into a successful and profitable career. He's papered hand silk-screened posters all around this great big world, shown in numerous galleries (I picked up a beloved print set at Gallery 1988 LA a few months back), and later this month releases a custom vinyl line from Mindstyle (website currently not very helpful). But I write today to inform you of the limited edition prints available exclusively at trendy lifestyle boutiquery MetroPark.

San Francisco Invasion is released in a comfy edition of 200, and all are hand signed and numbered by BM himself. The prints are a supersweet 18 x 24 and retail for a modest $50. MetroPark also sent some of their stores framed prints from the series and these retail for $150. This is both good and bad, because, hey, you get the work framed for an extra 100 clams if you don't want the hassle; but I like to make framing and glass choices myself and would be surprised all to hell if these things are framed archivally and behind UV treated plexi.

There are about 20 Metropark locations in the States and unless you're near one, you'll need to order from the website. But, with my preference for 7's I had to do some calling around and can now tell you which stores have which numbers in Texas and Ohio.
